The Women’s Preseason League Prize Presentation Ceremony marked the return of women’s football competition in Seychelles. The event brought together players, coaches, and officials to celebrate the talent, hard work, and sportsmanship that were displayed in this year’s competition.
Acknowledging Exceptional Performances
The ceremony kicked off with a warm welcome from Mr. Denis Rose (General Secretary, Seychelles Football Federation) followed by an opening speech by Mr. Elvis Chetty (President, Seychelles Football Federation) who commended the teams for their dedication and passion throughout the season. A special mention was made of the league’s role in nurturing talent and promoting football in the community.

A significant boost to these plans is support provided by FIFA, which has supplied essential equipment thought its Women’s Football Program spearheaded by Chris Yip-Au (Head of Women’s Football and Women’s National Team Coach).
“This equipment will go a long way in enhancing the quality of training and matches, and it reflects FIFA’s commitment to growing women’s football globally,” said Chris.
With this backing and the continued dedication of players, coaches, and officials, the next season aims to be a landmark year for women’s football in Seychelles.
