The Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) brought the 2025/2026 Seychelles Women’s League season to a close on 5 August 2026 with a prize presentation held at Maison de Football, celebrating the achievements of the teams, players and coaches who contributed to another important season for women’s football in Seychelles.
The ceremony provided an opportunity to recognise the commitment and hard work shown throughout the season, both on and off the pitch, while celebrating the individuals and teams who stood out during the competition.
Young Kestrels crowned champions
Young Kestrels were crowned champions of the Seychelles Women’s League after an impressive campaign, finishing at the top of the standings. Starlets FC secured second position, while Mont Fleuri Rovers completed the top three in third position. The final standings reflected the competitiveness of the league and the continued development of the participating teams. Individual awards recognise outstanding performances. Several players and coaches were also recognised for their individual contributions throughout the season. Keisha Moustache enjoyed an outstanding campaign, receiving two awards: Top Scorer and Best Young Player. The Best Goalkeeper award went to Chelsea Muthoni, while Tinicha Come was recognised as Best Young Goalkeeper.

🥉 Kimberly Chang Tak Hue – Best Player, 3rd Position
The Best Coach award was presented to Florence Marie, recognising her contribution and leadership throughout the season.
Celebrating perseverance and commitment
While the prize presentation was a celebration of success, the conclusion of the league also represented an important achievement for the wider women’s football programme.
The season presented its share of challenges, and ensuring that the competition reached its conclusion required commitment and perseverance from everyone involved. Clubs, players, coaches, match officials, volunteers and SFF staff worked together to overcome difficulties and complete the season.
For the Seychelles Football Federation, successfully completing the league is an important step in creating a more consistent and sustainable competitive environment for women’s football.
The league provides players with regular competitive opportunities while allowing coaches to develop their teams and giving emerging young players an environment in which they can gain valuable experience.
Building for the future
The development of the domestic women’s league remains an important part of the SFF’s wider women’s football strategy.
A strong domestic competition provides an essential foundation for player development and contributes to the pathway towards the Seychelles Women’s National Team. It also creates opportunities for younger players to transition into senior football and for coaches to gain experience working within the women’s game.
The Federation will continue to work with clubs and stakeholders to strengthen the competition, improve the experience for players and coaches, and create greater opportunities for women and girls to participate in football.
The SFF extends its sincere congratulations to Young Kestrels on winning the league and to Starlets FC and Mont Fleuri Rovers for securing second and third place respectively.
Congratulations also go to all the individual award winners and, importantly, to every player, coach, official, volunteer and supporter who contributed to the season.
The 2025/2026 season may now be complete, but the work to build a stronger future for women’s football in Seychelles continues.
