The Minister for Youth, Sports and Family, Marie-Céline Zialor, paid an inspiring visit to the Seychelles U17 Girls National Football Team during one of their training sessions ahead of the upcoming CJSOI (Commission de la Jeunesse et des Sports de l’Océan Indien) Games, which will be proudly hosted in Seychelles.

Held at Stad Linite, the visit served as a motivational boost and a show of national support for the young athletes preparing to represent the country in front of a home crowd.

Minister Zialor addressed the players directly, applauding their dedication and resilience, and reminding them of the power of sport to unite and inspire — especially when playing on home soil.

Chris Yip-Au, Head of Women’s Football at the Seychelles Football Federation, expressed her gratitude for the visit:

“Having Minister Zialor with us was incredibly meaningful for the girls. Her presence reminds them that they matter — not just as athletes, but as young women with potential and purpose. It’s a powerful boost for their confidence as they prepare to play in front of the nation.”

The visit marked a strong show of unity between government and sport, as well as an ongoing commitment to developing women’s football in Seychelles. The U17 Girls Team continues their final phase of preparation, eager to make the nation proud when the tournament kicks off in the coming days.
